Professions

Professions, which consist of three complementary skillsets, provide the most important skills your character can learn. In order to learn a particular profession, you must either join a guild that practices that profession, or become the apprentice of a Master of that profession.

Players may only practice a single profession at any given time, and the same is true for guilds. However, if you are unhappy with your character's profession, you may elect to learn a new profession at any time.

Finally, professions each belong to a particular circle of professions; the circles are: Magick, Anti-Magick, and Demonic. You may learn any profession that is in your current circle without having to forget your previous profession. However, if you decide to learn a new profession that is not in your current circle, you will need to forget all of the professions you know. Depending on your skill level within those professions, you will incur a penalty in the amount of the lessons refunded as a result of forgetting.

To learn more about professions, select a specific profession from the Professions sub-menu in the main navigation menu.

More details about the professions can be found in-game via the Help system, or here on the Imperian website.
